I’ve always wanted to sing something kind of in that space. Big, you know, ‘90s, early 2000s pop ballads, like Celine Dion type ballads. I love “ Forever ” because it’s one of those records…I’ve always loved big ballads. I love “ Taboo ” because I love playing with samples and it has an Alexander O’Neal sample that’s really cool.

Now, I think that confidence and comfortability in your skin is everything. What woman doesn’t want to say “I’m a bad bi**h?” That’s the first line you hear in the record. I love “ End Up ” because it popped the project off with intent and with just an energy that I think a lot of women are going to like. Like I love “ Fall Back ” because I love the rawness in the vocals. What song are you most excited for fans to hear? What songs are your favorite?

I really do, because it was just really important for me to give my fans new music that I love and I felt represents who I am today because they haven’t seen me for a couple of years, you know what I mean? Streeter’s 2017 debut album, Girl Disrupted, built on her pop knowledge and curious streak with songs that called back to soul’s past while incorporating modern touches like the stop-start synthetic beats of “Present Situation”. While writing songs for Brown, as well as artists such as Ariana Grande, Brandy and Fantasia Barrino, Streeter released singles of her own, including the pensive “Before I Do” and the brooding “Fallen”. and snagging a feature, as Sevyn, on his 2012 follow-up, Fortune. Streeter began writing songs for pop-R&B sensation Chris Brown shortly thereafter, amassing writing credits on his 2011 album F.A.M.E. She went solo in the mid-2000s, and in 2007 she joined the Rich Harrison-led project RichGirl and was given the name “Se7en”. In the early 2000s, Streeter-then known as “Ambee”-was a member of the Chris Stokes-helmed girl group TG4. Born in Haines City, Florida, Amber Denise Streeter had singing in her sights from her earliest days.
